There and Back Again

Britt and I drove home this weekend

for Avery's Eagle Court of Honor.

It was good to be home even if it was for only

a millisecond.

Whenever I go home I wish I could stay

longer.

It's fun living away from home,

but I sort of feel like I'm missing out

on lots of stuff, and all the little

kiddies keep growing up

while I'm gone.

It's all good though,

it was a fun weekend.

Bad Habits

So I have this thing I like to do that I've been developing in my almost 3 years of college. It's called not showering. Yeah, you're probably thinking, "SICK," and not the good kind.

Just kidding.

I love showers, I shower ALL the time,
but I don't always wash my hair.

Actually I've been told by a bunch of hair know-it-alls that it's good for your hair to not be washed every day. So it's not a bad habit at all, I should prolly change the name of this post, but I guarantee that "Bad Habits" might be more intriguing of a title than say "Hairdo Secrets."

But... yeah, this is way so much fun, mostly because I tend to like sleep more than my doing my hairdo. Usually it's all tied up on these no wash days, sometimes looks like crap a little bit...

But don't worry:

My lovely sister Annaca taught me this trick that helps with this "hair looks like crap" dilemma that I have on a regular basis. She says, "Just put on a little make up, lip gloss and some cute earings, and you're good to go.

Two Years Ago Today

I said goodbye to this one boy,

and now everyday I get to say hello

to this same boy.

It's the best thing ever.

I LOVE it!!

I can't tell you how great it is to have him back!

I don't have any pictures for you today,

I need to track down my camera

and take some.

Sometimes I have rough days,

and then I realize

I'm not the only one that has them.

In fact,

I could

probably

have it

a lot worse.

So today I'm going to focus

on feeling

happy

and

lucky

to be me.

Happy Birthday Trav!

Trav is pretty much the coolest Bro-in-law ever.

I know people that are envious that he married into my family.

Some things you may not know about Trav:

He's an AWESOME runner!

He ran over on Christmas day.

He basically picked up running a couple years ago,

and ROCKED his first marathon

(2009 Utah Valley Marathon)

He's a great daddy! He's so good with his little girls.

He has the CUTEST little girls ever :)

He's a fun guy, and he's willing to play along with our crazy shenanigans.

He's also a really great cook! He can make anything,

from spicy corn dogs to legit Indian food!!

Mmmm!! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

He's a great husband to my sister,

he's perfect for her, it's really saying something

if you can handle being married to one of the Cope girls.

I'm really grateful that he's in my family.

He's pretty much the bomb.

16. He served an honorable mission in Portland, Oregon.

17. He is a great teacher and is really good at explaining things to others without making them feel stupid.

18. He's clever and has a great sense of humor.

19. He is really fun to be with.

20. He is a really great writer.

21. He isn't afraid to be himself, and I feel like I can be myself with him.

I could probably keep going, but basically he's amazing, the best, my favorite. I might be a bit biased (like I said before), but I love him, and he makes me want to be better.

Laura and I were scared to be eaten by a shark,

but it didn't seem to phase Tommy at all.

We decided after checking out the Aquarium,

we'd check out a Diner's, Drive-In's and Dives restaurant

called Star's Diner if I remember correctly.

It was TASTY, and if you're nearby (La Jolla, San Deigo I think),

it's definitely worth checking out.

Probably because this is like the 3rd time we celebrated this week.

Today was lovely and pretty chill.

Went to class

(that was a bit confusing at first).

We ate sushi.

Hung out with Craig and Sara

(Britt's sister and her husband).

Ate with Grandma Cokey

and Grandpa Ray.

Watched part of the BYU and Jazz games.

Watched Hot Rod and Inception.

Good times.

I think 21 will be a good age for this year.

I'm grateful I have lots of family nearby, saying goodbye was hard today. I love my family lots. I miss them already. Good thing I'm coming to visit this weekend. :)
