How Sweet . . .

I came home to this very clean kitchen today.
Britt cleaned.
It basically made my day.
It was much messier before
and I was stressed that I didn't have time to clean it earlier.

And he folded me this oragami flower.
I feel so loved.
Isn't my husband the cutest?

I love you Britt.

Taking Christmas Down

It was a lot of fun to have Christmas decorations up this year,
but it was kind of a relief to take them down.
Even though we didn't have much to decorate,
I can understand why my mom is so happy to get things back to normal.

What a helpful husband.
He said he'd rather unfluff than fluff the tree.

I'll be excited to decorate again next year,
but it's nice to have it down and put away.

Ice Activity with the Youth

Recently we had a YM/YW combined activity
at the Peaks Ice Arena and it was a lot of fun!

We played ice broom hockey, but with special sticks, not brooms...
anyway, it was a lot of fun and funny to watch!

Here are a few photos of Britt playing with the big boys:

This photo makes me laugh.
Here is the not so intense, but still extremely talented group.
It was a lot of fun, and a pretty good price... I think.

Oreos?

We went to Walmart the other night for some groceries,
and we like to get the Great Value version of Oreos "Heads or Tails" cookies,
and when we opened the package this is what we discovered...

a cookie was missing.
Lame.

Birthday Week

So since our birthdays are only three days apart,
we decided that we should just celebrate our birthdays
ALL week instead of just on the actual days of our birth.

Thanks to all those that sent us Happy Birthday cards and gifts!
We felt so loved, especially since we couldn't come down to San Jorge to celebrate!

We were thrilled to have Bobbo and Tam Tam
(my father and mother)
come up for Friday and Saturday!
The BYU game gave them extra incentive. ;)
We decided to go out to dinner at Malawi's Pizza
and then to the 2nd Sherlock Holmes movie!
Both were fabulous!
My mom got to see sweet Lillie Mae Dexter,
and we invited she and Kayde to dinner.
It was really fun to catch up with everyone.
After the movie, we came back to our little apartment and played Hearts.
It was a lot of fun!
Britt kept score dilligently.
It was a fun way to end the night.
Then the next morning we met at the mall
for some birthday shopping and lunch.
After that we went to the BYU game together.

After the game Bobbo and Tam Tam had to drive home
so they could be back for church the next day.

But we had LOTS of fun!!
Thanks for coming and playing!
Thanks for all the birthday LOVE!!

Christmas 2011

WARNING: Photo Overload!

Our 1st Married Christmas was awesome!
Because both of our families live in St. George area,
we basically got to do Christmas twice.
It rocked!!

Our favorite part was being able to see all of our family
(except Sara & Craig, who were missed).

Here are some photos:

On the night of the 21st,
we got all packed up and made sure not to forget any presents!
At 7:22 ish a.m. we left for ...
San Jorge!

Aren't this girlies so silly?

This Christmas we split our time between
the Copes and the Stahelis,
since we are so blessed to have our families live so close
to each other.

Christmas Schedule:

Christmas Eve
*Breakfast at Grandma & Grandpa Staheli's house
(not pictured, I was lazy)

*Dinner at Grandma Rasband's house
Everyone at the big table.

Wayne wanted to sit at the bar seat.

Grandma Rasband was trying to be sneaky and avoid being in photos.

It was super yummy! We loved every bite!

The Rasband/Staheli crew minus me,

The Rasband/Staheli crew minus Paul.

*PJ's & Christmas Story at Cope home
Zora was being so funny!
We put these glasses from a Santa doll on her and she loved it!

Annie and Zora Janey are the cutes little things!

Everyone opening their PJ's from the PJ Elf.

We're excited, can you tell?

All the good-looking boys in their matching PJ's

All the cutie girls in our matching PJ's

The original Cope Fam & kids, everyone's laughing because I made a funny,
really I was kinda being a dork... same thing right?

Almost the whole Cope Fam,
I think we had Sadie or Bizzy take the photo
because we thought it would be futile to try to get
the little tikes to sit for another one.
*Sleep at Staheli home

Christmas Morning
*Wake up with the Staheli Fam
Don't we look excited?!

The line up, and all the happy faces at 6:30a.m.
The Staheli Tradition is to line up youngest to oldest
to go down, yes I was behind Britt.

Britt is very excited and doing a SNL Stefon impression.

Various opening gift photos:

We got these sparkly Toms look-a-likes for Lonette,
here she is modeling them.
After we finished opening presents
we got to skype Sara & Craig.
It was cute, Craig surprised her with a new computer
that has Skyping capabilities (webcam),
and we were waiting on skype when she came in!
After that we hurried over to the Cope Home for
*Christmas Moring with the Copes
Little kids line up youngest to oldest and come down the stairs
with their eyes closed. It's probably a little dangerous...
That's probably why Tommy's eyes are opened. haha

YAY!! TOYS!!
It's always so fun to see what the little kids get,
they always are so excited!
I love Bizzy's face in the photo, I'm pretty sure
she's putting on some of her new make up,
but it looks like she's trying to be sneaky!

Bobbo and Tam Tam enjoying watching the kiddos.

We're just hanging out, us "big kids" were excited for the gifts under the tree upstairs.

This year, since Britt and I don't have any little tikes of our own,
we decided to get our nieces and nephew gifts.
Shopping for little kids is pretty easy and cheap.

Tommy loves cars and we found this sweet sleeping bag for $6.25,
talk about marked down!!
We didn't get pictures of all the gifts for the little kids,
but those may or may not have been our favorite to give this year.

I was really excited about giving Britt this shirt! SO CUTE!
He loves it too by the way. haha

We got each other shoes this year.
We both kinda have a love of cool shoes.
I got sparkly Roxy shoes.
He got green Creative Rec shoes.
Next up:
*Breakfast & Church with the Copes

We had the opportunity to sing Away in a Manger at church
with my family and it was SO funny because we took the little
kids up to sing with us, and Tommy grabbed the microphone to sing into it.
Luckily, my dad had the insight to tell the 1st counselor to turn it off ahead of time.
I still giggled through the whole song,
people still complimented us, so maybe it wasn't a total bust.

Monday, the Day after Christmas
*Staheli Extended Family Party

We chatted with all sorts of relatives and ate some yummy soup.
Then for the talent show Britt and Tyler sang "Sweet Caroline,"
it was a HUGE hit with the Staheli Fam,
people were singing along and dancing.
There's talk of it becoming a tradition at this annual party.

Christmas was AWESOME!!
Mostly because we got to spend it together, and with all the people that we love most!

Love you:
Bobbo, Tam Tam, Burke, Lonette, Travis & Annaca, Craig & Sara, Austin & Laura, Tyler, Ally, Wayne, Avery, Sadie, Bizzy, Tommy, Annie, and Zora!!

Rearranged

We recently discovered that the boards that furniture stores give you to hold up the box-springs and mattress on the bed frame are a piece of crap.

They are very thin and because of this it can make your bed dip in the middle when anyone is lying on it and/or even break from not very much pressure.

So we took apart our bed and put the box-springs and mattress on the floor for a few days until Britt had time to run to Lowe's to get some 2x4's.

It was fun because it gave us some time to decide if we wanted to rearrange our furniture.

I know I never posted photos of how it looked to begin with, but here's how it turned out:

I still need to make some more adjustments,
but I like where it's headed.
It's just nice to have a change every once in a while,
even if it's a small one.
