Married Dating

One of my most favorite things about married life
is hanging out with my main man, Britt
--or as I like to call him--
Sugar Booger.
He loves it. Just ask him.

Because we received so many cool gift cards etc.
for our wedding...

We use our cool gift cards for date opportunities,
and it's pretty sweet.
It also makes it easier to spend a little money for fun.
I must admit that sometimes,
it feels a little silly to go do stuff,
just the two of us,
but we enjoy it nonetheless.

Recently:
We've gone bowling at Miracle Bowl
I love Britt in this one.

Bowling shoes, gotta love 'em.

Action Shots:
I know my form is terrible.

Britt's got it goin on. Like THIS.

We went to the BYU game at Energy Solutions
This was cool because we sort of inherited the tickets
because my dad couldn't come up for the game.
Cheap/discounted/free dates are the best,
especially when you are poor married students.

A special shout out to Bobbo, for the BYU tickets!!
We love you!

Thanksgiving 2011

This year we found out that Britt would be on call for work on the Thanksgiving break, so we persuaded my parents to come up here. It actually worked really well because it was my dad's side of the family's turn this year, and all the peeps that could come live nearer to Orem than St. George. So because no one wanted to cook, we went to Mimi's Cafe. When I first found out that we were going out for dinner and not cooking it ourselves, I was pretty upset, but I was pleasantly surprised with how yummy and Thanksgiving-y it was. We loved it, and we were very thankful to be able to spend it with family!

After dinner with the Copes, we went to hang out at my Grandma Cokey and Grandpa Ray's house, where we were able to catch up with the Cordner side (my mommy's fam), and eat more food.

It was all very lovely! Thanks to everyone that made it happen!! We love you!

Here are some photos from dinner:

1st Married Thanksgiving, cute huh?

The Frank Cope Family
(Left to Right: Ray, Grandpa Frank, Bob, Margaret, and JoAnn
Missing: Grandma Janice, Alana, and Mary)

Grandpa and I, I sure love this guy.
He is super sweet, and killer when it comes to a game of hearts!

Decking the Halls!

I know it's Thanksgiving today, but yesterday Britt and I went shopping for Christmas gifts and possible decor. We soon found ourselves feeling the Christmas spirit, ready to deck our halls. Britt resisted it at first saying we were skipping Thanksgiving, but after thinking about it we both couldn't wait. Also I don't feel like it takes anything away from Thanksgiving, just adds.

Here are some photos of us putting up our tree:

All of our stuff including a 6ft tree from Target for $20.00,
we felt like that was a steal of a deal.
And it begins...

There was more in between stuff, but it was so exciting we didn't want to stop to take pictures in between. Here's the finished product with the gifts for our family members that we already have.
Nieces and nephews are the easiest to buy for in my opinion.
All done at 1:00 a.m., didn't realize what time it was until we were all done,
that probably explains our good looks in this picture.
I most likely should have left this lovely out, but I like it.
I love the holiday season, and I'm GRATEFUL for it,
see I'm totally in the Thanksgiving spirit!

Happy Thanksgiving:)
SO excited to see the fam tomorrow!!

Update & Photos from My Phone

So I've wanted to post something for a while, but I feel bad posting stuff without pictures (mostly because I myself enjoy posts from others that include pictures) and I can't find my camera since we moved in here. DANG!! So... I'm going to post some pictures I took from my phone. Which aren't usually the best quality. But they show a little bit of what we've been up to:

These two photos are of the grant check we got for being poor married college students.
Sweet huh?!

Britt was pretty excited and asked me to take pictures.
We love grants that we don't have to pay back.
I guess being poor isn't bad all the time.
Oh, and Britt also got a job!
He is the night on-call driver for Petersen Medical.
It works out well because this way he is still able to work and go to school.
It's a little annoying sometimes though because
we don't always get to see each other during the week.

This other photo is showing that I got my hair highlighted,
and I'm actually learning how to do it pretty sometimes
(despite the fact that I have to wear it up most the time for work)
*I just want to note that this picture was really in honor of Ally,
my little sister, who not only does her hair very lovely
all the time, but can't help doing awkward faces in photos.

Also:
We can't wait for the St. George Marathon & Conference weekend because
we get to go home for the weekend to see our families :)

Peace & Love

Job Offer-age!

I got a job! WOOT!!

It's at Utah Valley Urology doing medical assisting, and it's sweet because it's all the same kind of stuff I did while I worked at my dad's office (St. George Urology). Urology? You may be asking yourself why in the world I'd want a job at a Urology office. Sometimes I ask myself the same thing, but I'm excited. It's comforting to finally have work after job hunting for a while. Also regardless of how one might think it sounds it's really cool to be able to help people that need it.

Training starts tomorrow morning!

Britt has been with the YM at Yuba Lake since yesterday. He's having a lot of fun, but I'm really excited for him to come home tomorrow!! Yay! I might be a tad bit pathetic, but our little apartment is just so lonely without him.

So I really should blog something, or at least I feel like I should let you know we're all still alive.

Summer has been awesome! We still love being married. Life has been SUPER busy and we're back and forth between Orem and St. George a LOT.

Life is good, we love it.

I'm sure I'll get on here and post more, but as of right now...

I need to go get ready for a job interview! Wish me luck. Job hunting is no fun.

Peace and Love!

I've Been Thinking...

I've been thinking about blogging, but currently I don't really feel like putting together a serious post. But I've been thinking about it. So one of these days I'll get my fanny in gear and tell you about how life has been going for Britt and I.

Quick Update:
1. We got married. It ROCKS.
2. We moved to Orem. Love our apartment.
3. We're looking for jobs.
4. Visited home for the 4th.
5. Gave talks in Sacrament.
6. Got callings in our ward.
7. Planning on going home for Sadie's baptism and some Lake Powell Love.

That's all I can think of.

Peace & Love
