Job Offer-age!

I got a job! WOOT!!

It's at Utah Valley Urology doing medical assisting, and it's sweet because it's all the same kind of stuff I did while I worked at my dad's office (St. George Urology). Urology? You may be asking yourself why in the world I'd want a job at a Urology office. Sometimes I ask myself the same thing, but I'm excited. It's comforting to finally have work after job hunting for a while. Also regardless of how one might think it sounds it's really cool to be able to help people that need it.

Training starts tomorrow morning!

Britt has been with the YM at Yuba Lake since yesterday. He's having a lot of fun, but I'm really excited for him to come home tomorrow!! Yay! I might be a tad bit pathetic, but our little apartment is just so lonely without him.

So I really should blog something, or at least I feel like I should let you know we're all still alive.

Summer has been awesome! We still love being married. Life has been SUPER busy and we're back and forth between Orem and St. George a LOT.

Life is good, we love it.

I'm sure I'll get on here and post more, but as of right now...

I need to go get ready for a job interview! Wish me luck. Job hunting is no fun.

Peace and Love!

I've Been Thinking...

I've been thinking about blogging, but currently I don't really feel like putting together a serious post. But I've been thinking about it. So one of these days I'll get my fanny in gear and tell you about how life has been going for Britt and I.

Quick Update:
1. We got married. It ROCKS.
2. We moved to Orem. Love our apartment.
3. We're looking for jobs.
4. Visited home for the 4th.
5. Gave talks in Sacrament.
6. Got callings in our ward.
7. Planning on going home for Sadie's baptism and some Lake Powell Love.

That's all I can think of.

Peace & Love

Temple: Went Inside Today

It was incredible :)

The temple is definitely the place to be.

It wasn't what I expected, but not in a bad way.

It was so peaceful, and happy.

I just felt like smiling the whole time.

I loved it, and I loved being there with all of my family and Britt!

I can't wait for Saturday :)

p.s. I have some photos I need to get from my sister to post on here.

We took Bridals over the weekend
and it was SO. MUCH. FUN.
Seriously, dressing up in a pretty white dress is awesome,
but it's even more awesome to have a cute fiance
come along to pose with/love on :)

Our FABULOUS photographer sent me some sneak peeks
of our session, and here are a few favorites.
It was tough to pick, because they are ALL so amazing!

Sneak Peek

We've been SO busy the last little while with wedding planning!
Lately we've been looking through our LOVELY engagement photos,
(you've probably noticed some of the ones I've already added to the blog)
trying to pick the invitation photo.
We finally chose it, but here were some of our other
favorites!

We'll probably print these out for the reception and then use them in our little home :)

We have THE BEST photographer!! Her name is Jessica McAllister,
you should definitely check her out at her Flourish Photography website!
She's super awesome at taking lovely photos, very reasonable with pricing and SO FUN to work with. We just love her!

Time to put my runn:ng shoes back on...

This week my dad had his 53rd birthday, and I was all caught up in school to keep up with my birthday blog postiness.
But this week for his birthday, he asked all of us to run 3 miles. Kind of a funny birthday wish, don't you think? It's not really all that strange if you know my dad.
Today I put my running shoes on for the first time (with the intent to run) in a long time. I can't even remember when I last went for a run.

It started out as a run and ended up being a lot of walk and some run. Which is ok. It's always hardest to begin, or at least it seems that way to me.
In honor of my Daddio, here are some photos of us together at running events.

My first marathon in 2004 (age 14), I ran with my dad the whole way.
Coolest experience!

Second marathon in 2009 (age 19), I ran mostly by myself, but ran into dad a few times.
Pretty much our whole family ran that year, it was awesome!

Here we all are, in varying degrees of pain, discomfort and emotion.
Laura had serious morning sickness the whole time, Avery and I battled cramps,
Austin was Laura's cheerleader/support group, I think Annaca did well... I can't remember
Travis (not pictured) finished way before any of us and needed to get home to the kiddies,
Ally (also not pictured) was up at State Tennis and ran the Utah Valley Marathon a few months previous,
and my dad battled some serious knee and back pain (which he never really mentioned) and is the toughest guy I know.
Love you all! But especially love you Dad! Happy Birthday week!
