We decided a few months ago to do something special for our 1st Anniversary. So we booked a big kid trip to Portland, Oregon!! And it's been a whole bunch of fun!
Things we've done so far:
- Visited a few of Britt's mission friends. Wonderful peeps.
- Met Puff the Magic Dragon (he lives in Molalla)
- Walked around the Portland LDS Temple and new Visitor Center.
- Enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
- Went for a spontaneous 4-5 mile hike to the Triple Falls near Multnomah Falls.
- Checked out lots of cool landmarks, like Bridge of the Gods and Columbia River.
- Ate at Chevy's. Amazing.
- Hung out with Sara and Craig (Britt's sister and brother in law).
- Ate Voodoo Doughnuts.
- Got Henna Tatts and a "Keep Portland Weird" T-shirt at Portland Saturday Market.
- Perused Powells's Books, The Legendary Independent Bookstore.
- Walked down Hawthorne Avenue.
Things we want to do:
- Eat at Pine State Biscuits.
- Go to church in Beaverton.
- Enjoy more green scenery.
- Go to the Saturday Market Fair.
We have had SO much fun, and the perfect getaway trip.

hey! sounds like you were so close to my house! I live in Hillsboro (which is kind of like st. george/santa clara to beaverton) Chevy's is good-mmmm their corn mush :) Man this is definitely one of the weirdest places that's for sure! lol Hope you get feeling better!
